Case Study: E-Commerce 

1 The Challenge

A CBD consumer goods company sought help to grow their brand and improve sales. They had previous success with B2B sales to brick and mortar stores so an e-commerce store was the natural next step to drive their own sales. Their Shopify launch got them off the ground but due to external factors, their initial launch was put on hold. When those factors cleared, the client looked for a digital agency to create a 90 day strategic marketing plan.

2 Our Approach

We did an audit of the client's existing website, marketing and social media. We took inventory of the quality, variety, and relevancy of their content. Based on our assessment, their website and Shopify store needed a major renovation and their social media needed consistent content beyond photos of in-store displays. We also evaluated the customer journey and saw an opportunity to drive user engagement and increase retention of their existing customer base.

SHOPIFY REHAUL & CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

We gave their Shopify store a facelift and ensured that the customer experience was easy and consistent. We reduced customer drop-off across their pages and increased the total time a customer was on their site. 

RETENTION & REMARKETING

We applied a retention program through email as well as a shopping cart abandonment program that immediately bore positive results. We developed an email program to engage their existing client base with new content and seasonal promotions to increase client lifetime value.

CONTENT MARKETING

We promoted sponsored content to increase brand awareness and clicks to the e-commerce store. Compliance was a barrier to entry but we were able to penetrate and drive large volumes of visits to the store since the original launch. We also created scheduled content for brand reputation and improved user engagement.

3 The Result

Within two months,we drove a 710% increase in overall visits to the store. The overhaul of the e-commerce store led to increased time spent on the page and reduced customer drop off. We successfully were able to utilize promotions and social media marketing to increase sales by 300%. There was also a 20% increase in organic lift for followers and likes on their Facebook and Instagram account.
